Privacy policy

This policy explains how Clinical Bench ("we", "us") handles personal information, in line with the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) and the Australian Privacy Principles.

What we collect

When you submit the enquiry form we collect:

• your work email address;
• the description of what you need a clinician for, if you provide one;
• the country your request originated from, and technical information such as your IP address, which is processed for security and anti-spam purposes.

We do not use cookies for advertising or cross-site tracking, and we do not sell personal information.

Why we collect it

We use this information to respond to your enquiry, to match you with a suitable professional, and to keep a record of the engagement. We may contact you about your enquiry. We will not add you to a marketing list without your consent.

Who we share it with

We share personal information only where it is necessary to run the service:

• Cloudflare, Inc. hosts this site, provides security and anti-spam verification (Turnstile), and processes request data.
• SMTP2GO delivers enquiry and application emails to our inbox.
• Professionals on our bench receive the details of your enquiry where relevant to scoping the work, under confidentiality obligations.

Some of these providers store or process data outside Australia, including in the United States. By submitting the form you consent to that disclosure.

How long we keep it

Enquiries are retained for as long as needed to respond and to maintain business records, then deleted. If you ask us to delete your information sooner, we will do so unless we are required to keep it.

Security

The site is served over HTTPS. Enquiry data is transmitted to our email provider over encrypted connections, and API credentials are held as environment secrets, never in the browser. No system is perfectly secure, but we take reasonable steps to protect the information we hold.

Accessing or correcting your information

You can ask us for a copy of the personal information we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it. Email hello@theclinicalbench.com and we will respond within a reasonable period.

Complaints

If you believe we have mishandled your personal information, contact us first at hello@theclinicalbench.com. If you are not satisfied with our response, you may complain to the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner at oaic.gov.au.

Changes

We may update this policy. The date at the top shows when it last changed.
